Oz-Post is a drivable post anchor that is designed for supporting fences, decks, signs and other posts without the need to dig a post hole and mix concrete. Until Oz-Post there were very few options available to eliminate the time consuming and back breaking work of digging post holes and mixing concrete to install a post. The Oz-Post system is the one and only post support product that is proven to perform as well as post hole digging. Oz-Posts are also easy to use, effective, labor saving, and affordable. Many people wonder if it really works? The answer is yes, Oz-Post will provide you with a solid foundation for your construction project that you will be proud of. Oz-Post almost seems too good to be true but it’s not. Ask any one of our 50,000+ customers what they think and you will quickly find out that Oz-Post does deliver the strength and all-climate performance that they were looking for. One of the most interesting features of the Oz-Post system is that they can be installed in 60 seconds with a standard jackhammer. Oz-Post harnesses the destructive power of the jackhammer to drive the Oz-Post in the ground with the use of a special adapter that fits into the jackhammer. Hard packed clay, frozen ground, tree roots, asphalt, rocks and other above and below grade obstructions are hard to deal with when digging post holes but can be handled with ease with Oz-Post. You can also use a sledge hammer to install Oz-Post. Simply insert a short piece of scrap material into the Oz-Post and pound it in with a sledgehammer. This installation method works well but should be limited to small projects of less than 6 posts or in areas that are known to be soft and free of obstructions. We have some customers that have installed 100’s of Oz-Posts with a sledgehammer but if you want to take advantage of all of Oz-Post features we recommend renting an electric jackhammer and Oz-Hammer so installation is a cinch. A jackhammer is safe and easy to operate and in most cases is lighter than one bag of concrete!

When constructing a project that requires post hole digging there is dirt to haul away, concrete to mix, and the work has to be done over several days to allow time for the concrete to set. When using Oz-Post you can start building immediately and there is no mess to clean up and most projects can be completed in one day. Our customers appreciate the fact that their construction project will be completed faster and with minimal disturbance to their landscaping. Oz-Post also provides longer lasting posts because it protects the wood from direct ground contact and if replacement was ever required it is much easier to do with Oz-Post. Although the concept of post anchors has been around for many years there usefulness has been very limited because of their poor design and difficult installation method. Oz-Posts are much different because they are longer, wider and stronger than other post supports. Oz-Posts are also hot dipped galvanized for long lasting performance and use with pressure treated lumber and are available in a wide range of sizes and lengths for all types of terrain and post designs. Oz-Post also offers an accessory called the Oz-Deck that provides vertical load bearing capacity for projects like decks and ramps. Both Oz-Post and Oz-Deck supports can be removed with our Oz-Puller tool and reused over and over. This provides additional flexibility for temporary applications such as signs, trap fencing, wheelchair ramps, mobile home decks, construction site security fences, and for special events and festivals. Oz-Post delivers a safe, professional and permanent looking installation even if the project is for temporary use. It should go without saying that we do not believe that Oz-Post is a post anchor for all post installation applications. There are special situations where digging a hole 12”-30” in diameter and pouring concrete is the only option. An easy rule of thumb is that if the post traditionally requires a post hole larger than 8” than you may have to consider digging the hole.
