Product Information Doorking 1610-081 Flush Mount Weighted Traffic Spikes These traffic control products are ideal for controlling traffic direction and speed through a controlled entry location. Traffic spikes are used to enforce one-way traffic and speed bumps force vehicles to slow down as they pass through the controlled area. The illuminated warning sign is always used with the traffic spikes. THE MODEL 1610 TRAFFIC CONTROL SPIKES are designed to allow traffic to proceed in one direction only. This in-ground spike system is mechanically activated and requires no power for operation. Each spike is independently spring loaded with a stainless steel spring, or spike sets can be ordered in weighted (non-spring) style. CAUTION: Traffic spike systems are not intended to be used in areas where vehicular traffic is uncontrolled or crosses over the spikes at an angle other than 90˚, or where traffic speeds may exceed 5 MPH. Speed bumps, warning signs, and/or stop signs are recommended to control traffic when using these spike systems. The heavy-duty steel housing and spikes are painted bright red for easy visibility.
